Discovery Solutions announces the appointment of Ryan Blake as CEO
CALGARY, AB, December 8, 2021 / – Discovery Solutions International, Inc. (“Discovery”) appoints Ryan Blake as CEO.
Please join us in welcoming Ryan to the Discovery team. We look forward to his passion and leadership as CEO.
Ryan received his Mechanical Engineering designation from Queen’s University in Canada, an MBA designation from Cornell University in the USA, and is registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta. Prior to Discovery, Ryan worked for Royal Dutch Shell where he has held multiple technical and commercial roles within its North American Shales portfolio. His most recent leadership role was as the Drilling and Completions Engineering Manager where he was the technical lead for their Canadian Shales operation.

I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the Discovery team. To be leading a company with such an impressive history is a unique opportunity and I look forward to positioning the company to succeed long into the future.
Going forward, the core Discovery team will remain the same, therefore our clients should expect no change to their ongoing operations and can expect the same great service. Al and Jamie will both be transitioning with me over the coming months to ensure continuity, meaning Discovery will not miss a beat.
As I look towards the future there is an incredible opportunity for Discovery to enhance and expand its product and service offering. As we prioritize investing back into the business my expectation is that every client will see their operation run more efficiently.
Pulling from my background in oil and gas, I am excited to expand our product to help our clients in this industry optimize their business by leveraging the data Discovery collects. Our goal is to build a product that will help position our clients as market leaders in the future. Building from this foundation we will grow into other industrial service segments by having a best-in-class ERP tailored for the world’s toughest operations.
I look forward to the growth journey ahead with Discovery and being a trusted leader to our team and clients. I would like to emphasize the three things to expect from the future of Discovery: long term stability, product investment, and outstanding customer support.
